"Hi Doc,
Wanted to give you an update since my visit Friday.
WOW!!
Friday afternoon and evening was really strange, my body and mind seemed to be
engaged in some type of conflict. Part of me continued to say "it's time to eat - you
always eat now - I want something". This other side is now saying, "you're not hungry -
I don't want anything - leave me alone". The end result of this which has continued is
that I seem to have lost interest in food. I was in Tennessee all day Saturday at a race
doing a lot of walking, standing, climbing, etc., roughly 10 hours worth and still had no
particular desire to eat. We went to a place which specializes in my all time favorite
food "RIBS", the breakfast of champions and food of the gods in my opinion. I took at
least half of them home, ate about 5 steak fries and my salad and that was it! I ate 3
bones when I got home and threw the rest away on Sunday. That's not even close to
normal for me, not even in the same hemisphere.
After fighting cravings, and imaginary hunger for years it's all gone. There is no desire
to eat outside of the current desire which is a true feeling of hunger and that only
seems to occur once per day. Now a pack of cheese crackers and a diet Pepsi and
I'm good for hours; the crackers aren't really high on the healthy scale but they're
convenient and cheap. In addition, I can feel physical changes taking place, I feel
like I've done several long workouts with medium weights to failure, like I'm heading
into that cannibalistic state. Probably need to eat a bit more based on my activity
level.
